Beginners

These classes are accessible for both beginners as experienced students coming from another yoga background.

Beginner classes introduce you to the core principles of Critical Alignment. With the help of special attributes you learn to identify specific areas of tension in your body. By releasing this tension, we become aware of the connections between our bones and how they support good alignment.

Be aware: most classes are taught in Dutch, exept when mentioned in ‘Beginners English’.

Therapy

Therapy upper + lower back

About 80% of all people get serious complaints in their lower back at least once in their life.

In these therapy classes we help students to make the lower back vertebrae more flexible and strong for the use of daily activities. The therapy lessons help to prevent complaints but are also suitable in many cases when the complaint is acute.

Structural tension is often stored in the shoulders and upper back. The therapy lessons help to break through existing tension patterns. Through targeted exercises a new relaxed structure is built up, allowing the body to feel lighter and free.

50+

Becoming older doesn’t mean that we lose the positive connection with our bodies. During the Critical Alignment 50+ classes, we focus on parts of the body in the opposite way to what we might ordinarily do in daily life.

After living with years of accumulated tension, the 50+ students see their alignment improve after each class. Mobility and energy levels increase and fears about the uncertain future of aging turns into a relationship with the body relation based on trust and confidence.

Intermediate

These classes are accessible for both beginners as experienced students coming from another yoga background.

Beginner classes introduce you to the core principles of Critical Alignment. With the help of special attributes you learn to identify specific areas of tension in your body. By releasing this tension, we become aware of the connections between our bones and how they support good alignment.

Online

The online classes (either 60″ or 75″ long) are accessible for beginner as well as more experiences CA practitioners. Unless stated otherwise, you don’t need the headstander or backbender for this class. The use of a black strip is recommended, a felt mat can be substituted with a large towel or yoga blanket.

In these Critical Alignment (CA) classes you will experience the core values of the CA method. You will learn how to identify areas in the body that hold tension. By releasing this tension, we become aware of our connection between our bone structure (skeleton), and how they help us experience lightness, spaciousness and freedom. Both mentally as physically.
